Set Up & Lunch

Throughout the day, members participate in creative programs, movement, music, games, brain-health activities, social time, and more. Volunteers provide an extra helping hand to staff while building genuine connections with our members. Volunteers may help with: * Setting up activity and craft stations * Assisting instructors during activities, games, music, and movement programs * Sitting with and engaging members during activities and social time * Helping prepare, serve, and clean up after lunch or snacks * Assisting members with transitions between activities * Tidying activity areas and common spaces * Helping with end-of-shift cleanup and resetting the space * Providing friendly conversation, encouragement, and companionship No special experience is required. We’re looking for volunteers who are patient, dependable, friendly, and ready to make a difference. Your time helps create meaningful days for our members while providing caregivers with valuable respite and peace of mind.

Help clean, sanitize, and reset the Club.

Help us leave Oakwood fresh, clean, and ready for another great day! End-of-Day Cleaning Volunteers support our staff by helping restore the Club after programming ends and ensuring our members return to a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment. Volunteers may help with: Wiping down and disinfecting tables, chairs, and high-touch surfaces Cleaning and tidying activity rooms and common areas Sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming as needed Cleaning and resetting dining and refreshment areas Emptying trash and replacing liners Restocking basic supplies when needed Helping with a final walk-through and reporting any concerns to staff All cleaning supplies and equipment are provided. Staff will provide instructions and direction, and volunteers do not need prior cleaning experience. This is a great opportunity for individuals, families, or groups looking for a hands-on way to support Oakwood behind the scenes.
