Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Oakwood Creative Care! We’re excited to welcome you to our volunteer community. Our Volunteer Orientation is a quick introduction to Oakwood, our members, and what it means to volunteer in a dementia care environment. You’ll learn about our programs, volunteer opportunities, expectations, safety guidelines, and how you can make a meaningful impact by spending time with our members. What to expect: Learn more about Oakwood Creative Care and the people we serve Tour the space and get familiar with our programs Learn about different volunteer roles and opportunities Review volunteer expectations and safety guidelines Learn how to sign up for volunteer shifts at our different locations Meet members of the Oakwood team and ask questions Before volunteering: All volunteers will need a TB test and a Fingerprint Clearance Card. Once those requirements are completed and you attend orientation, you’ll be ready to sign up for volunteer opportunities! We want volunteering at Oakwood to be flexible and easy. After orientation, you can choose the location, role, and shifts that work best for you. We’re so glad you’re here and look forward to having you as part of the Oakwood community!
