The Hub at Oakwood Creative Care is a welcoming community for individuals living with dementia or other age-related challenges, their care partners, families, and anyone looking to learn, connect, and age well. The Hub offers a variety of free programs, educational opportunities, support groups, social gatherings, and engaging experiences designed to strengthen connection, provide support, and make every stage of aging more joyful. As a Hub Volunteer, you may help with a variety of events and programs, including Memory Café, caregiver support groups, educational workshops, music and mindfulness experiences, social gatherings, and other special events. Volunteer responsibilities may include setting up and cleaning up, welcoming guests, assisting with activities, helping participants navigate the space, providing friendly conversation, and being an extra helping hand wherever needed. Each Hub event is different, so your role may change from shift to shift. Whether you're helping serve coffee at Memory Café, assisting with an activity, welcoming families, or helping create a calm and welcoming environment for a special program, your presence helps make The Hub a place where people feel connected, supported, and never alone.
