Please volunteer for Noisy Waters Mural Festival 2026 this August 14-16! For volunteering, you will receive 1 drink ticket to use onsite off-shift, 1 voting token and 1 free volunteer only festival t-shirt. The event itself is from 1-11pm Friday, 9am-11pm Saturday, and 9am-3pm Sunday, though volunteer positions range dates and times from pre-festival setup to post-festival takedown. Your contribution means everything to us - thank you for your participation and continued support beautifying Bellingham through community connection and art production. Event Description Below: For three days, world-renowned muralists paint original works on 8’×8’ panels while the public watches the process unfold. By Sunday, the community votes and three artists earn commissions to paint permanent murals across Bellingham. This is your chance to have a say in the public art you want to see in your city. Come back Sunday afternoon for the awards ceremony to find out which artists won. While the competition runs, dive into three days of spray-paint workshops, mural tours, live music, art for sale, yoga, upcycled fashion, and nonstop creative energy for all ages at the 4th annual Noisy Waters Mural Festival. Free family-friendly events throughout the day create an experience to remember. Then, as daylight fades, the art starts glowing and the music gets louder for the 21+ crowd. Noisy Night Mode brings together headliner bands and DJs, blacklight painting, late-night mural sessions, and a libations bar for a multi-sensory experience. Produced by Bellingham-based placemaking agency, Paper Whale, you know this festival is going to be unique.
