Oakwood Creative Care
Have a creative skill, hobby, talent, or passion you’d love to share?Come teach a class at Oakwood Creative Care! Our Guest Class Instructors bring fresh ideas and experiences to our members across all four Oakwood locations. You don’t need to be a professional teacher—just bring something you enjoy and a willingness to share it with older adults living with dementia and other cognitive or physical challenges. What could you teach? * 🎨 Art, painting, drawing, crafts, or photography * 🎵 Music, singing, instruments, or DJ skills * 💃 Dance, movement, or chair exercise * 🌱 Gardening, cooking, or nature activities * 💻 Graphic design, technology, or other creative skills * 📖 Storytelling, writing, or presentations * 🎲 Games, trivia, or a unique hobby * ✨ Or something completely different! Classes can be adapted to different abilities and interests, and Oakwood can often provide the materials and supplies needed for your activity. Staff will be available to support you, so you can focus on sharing your talent and connecting with our members. Guest instructors typically teach one or two class sessions, scheduled in coordination with OCC staff. Have an idea or want to learn more? Contact emilee@oakwoodcreativecare.org
